Objectives for Stress Management Training

How your Team will benefit:

Understand that stress is a positive, unavoidable part of everybody’s life

This will help participants recognize the positivity of stress in one’s life and keep them aware that stress is part of life. It will also provide an effective approach to help a person to deal with stress.

Recognize the symptoms that tell you when you have chronic stress overload

Since all of us face different challenges in the workplace, it is important that we recognize the effects of these stressful situations towards us. This session will help you identify when a situation is considered stressful in order to provide an effective solution.

Identify those situations in your life that cause you the greatest stress

What is stressful to you may not be stressful to another person. Thus, a situation or event is only considered stressful if the person has shown an emotional or stressful response. Identifying situations that cause stress to a person will be discussed in this segment.

Identify those actions which add to your stress

Sometimes, we are not aware that our actions towards stressful situations also add stress. To put it simply, the stressful situation becomes more stressful because of our response. This segment will let participants become aware of their actions and reactions that add to stress.

Change the situations and actions that can be changed

Focusing the situations that can be changed or improved will help a participant feel motivated and empowered.

Deal better with situations and actions that can’t be changed

Not being able to change actions that need to be changed may cause our stress levels to increase. This segment will help participants learn to accept what cannot be changed and think of other solutions in order to become free of stress.

Create an action plan for work, home, and play to help reduce and manage stress

For an employee to become more effective in his/her role, one must have a positive response towards challenges. Learning how to manage stress and to create an effective action plan towards stressful events will help a person become resilient and motivated.
